Hippocampus kelloggi

The seahorse whose name always makes me think of cereal! This horse is again from the Red Sea, or the Indian Ocean. The only reason this horse isn't confused with the histrix is that it is smooth skinned, so that it can be all confused with the kuda complex. ( As in the other name that horses got called whether it had anything to do with them or not!) This horse is long, and lean looking. They have medium looking snouts, and their check spines usually lean backwards to the horses necks...like they were pointing to their chests. Sometimes they have dots, small white ones, but usually, they are just a pale or brown horse.
